Cobalt Carbonate.
CoCO3.
The most powerful colouring oxide. This oxide produces a deep blue or blue-black colour in lead and leadless glazes and a vivid blue in alkaline glazes. The presence of magnesium gives a purple colour. A more finely divided compound than Cobalt Oxide, less likely to speck in glazes. 1-3% addition.
