ES170 Glacier Porcelain gets its brilliant whiteness, strength and translucency from a mixture of New Zealand China Clay and white silica sand. These high quality materials along with silicas, bentonites and mineral fluxes also allow the clay to have a high plasticity rare in porcelain without added ball clay, thus retaining the brilliant white colour and translucency.
